{ Oh So Yellow }
I am loving the yellows coming in for summer. It may have something to do with the fields and fields of yellow daisies I saw on my little trip up the West Coast, but even better right. So I have been looking out for some really cute yellow items to add to my wardrobe and well, I have frequented Pinterest for some cute yellow pics to share with you. If I find some lovely, daisy yellow wardrobe treasures I will be sure to share. A headband would be nice... or a silk scarf. Long Street here I come.

{ There is no such thing as a wrong turn }
I found this advert on YouTube too, but it doesn't seem to be the final edit.
Still searching... but this one is pretty cool too. It is just lacking the really cool stories behind each trip.
{ I heart SA }
Living in South Africa definitely has its ups and its downs. If I am honest, it can be pretty damn stressful. But when you look beyond all the things that make this country a little difficult, you see what an absolutely beautiful place it is. My family know, I will only leave SA when I have been kicked out of it... And on days like today, when an advert pops up, showcasing all the beauty and potential South Africa has to offer, I feel obliged to share it. This especially after my little trip up the West Coast where I saw some of THE most insane displays of flowers I have ever seen.
As a part of the exciting and inspirational Sho't Left campaign, the advert takes you across South Africa with 7 of SA's most influential trendsetters. The pay off line: "There is no such thing as a wrong turn". There are 7 different clips, each exploring a different province: Free State, Western Cape, KZN, Jozi, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape & Limpopo. Unfortunately I could not find the full length advert, but here is a sneak peak of the Western Cape explorations by Am I Collective, high flyers on the Cape Town Graphic Design Scene (http://www.amicollective.com/). When I find the real deal I will be sure to post it up for all to see. Watch out for it... you'll fall in love with SA all. over. again.
There is also this article on BizCommunity.com which explains it perfectly. Check it out at: http://www.bizcommunity.com/Article/196/423/60291.html. Also visit the Sho't Left website at http://www.shotleft.co.za/sat/content/en/za/shot-left-home to plan your next trip... me first!

{ West Coast Daisies }
Over the past two days, I decided to do something spontaneous. Something to take my mind off matters and something that will strike up some inspiration. Sooooo, I dragged my friend Kyrah along and we went on a road trip up the West Coast to see the spring flowers.
Driving up the N7, we were swallowed by fields of green and yellow; picturesque in every way. After staying over in a little dorpie called Clanwilliam and having a delicious breakfast in the mountains at a farmstall called Kardoesie, we headed towards Darling and the West Coast National Park to see some more flowers. And the pictures will tell you the rest...

{ beautiful aren't they? }

The last two wishes...
BIRTHDAY WISH: NUMBER 1
My final birthday wish is my next adventure. In October, I am going to start kitesurfing and I liddarilly cannot wait to begin. I have been amped to start kitesurfing since 2007 and I have officially decided to get myself into the water and flying across the seas of Blouberg. It is gonna take a while but I'll let you know how it goes (insert excited face here).
The last two wishes...
Having flown to JHB for the weekend, I was unable to blog my last two birthday wishes. So I am going to quickly finish off my list here and then get into my actual gifts***
BIRTHDAY WISH: NUMBER 2 (friday)
Friday was birthday wish number 2, and it was exactly what I got. An evening with my best friends. It consisted of some delicious wines, breads, pizzas, teas, laughter, love, dancing, drinking and all in all a spectacular night of birthday celebrations. Best birthday present!
